Why would you take it to 3 different shops? Granted the first guy screwed ya. But it sounds like Speed inc took care of the problems that you had. I have worked with speed inc and the have been nothing but good to work with.
From owning a performance shop in the past, I have dealt with young guys that I have no idea what or where their money comes from and I didn't care as long as they paid. But holy shit man you have spent a fortune on that car and your 20. At 20 I was thinking of how much I had for beer that night, not looking for a twin turbo kit. Anyway good for you your lucky to be able to do that at your age. People throw around HP #'s like they are free all over the internet, 1000Hp is a shit load of power be careful with it. It take a special someone to be able to handle 600 let alone 1000HP. There are a lot of crashed Z06, zr1, and ZL1's out there that needed a driver mod.

My fathers boss has a koenigsegg agera r that I drove for an hour or two. my tuner is putting 6 maps on it so I can drive it daily in the 600 range and only turn it up for the strip. And i had the car at speed inc originally and they said since the block had been damaged they wouldn't be able to get to it for over 3 months. Plus they blew my main seal out twice because they didn't do anything to relieve boost pressure. I went with AD off a recommendation and because they were turbo specialists. I'm happy with the work that they have done, just has taken a bit of time. I realize I cheaped out on the injectors and I'm bashing myself in the head now. Looking at injector calculators it looks like on 93 I can achieve 1150 at the wheels at 85% duty cycle. e85 however, is a different story.

Correct, if you're going to run e85 you would need the 1700s and a triple pump setup instead of the duals.
Not to say you couldn't just run a lower boost and max the pump/injectors out

You're going to try to obtain 1150whp with 93 octane lol..... I feel like you're going to have a thread real soon about how your engine just "blew" up.

Yeah, my plans were for 800 hp. Didnt want to hit 1000 until after most things were purchased and it isnt in the budget to switch now. Maybe next year.

Pretty sure there are people making over 1,000rwhp on pump gas and meth. Not saying more octane isn't a bad idea but it's still doable.

![]() OP I hope your car runs great for you. I have big dreams for my ride and I'm 33 but that's neither here nor there. At 20, you're doing alright for yourself. There are a lot of ways to skin a cat, but at the end of the day you made some decisions and they might not all be popular but hey..it's your car, your world, your way. And I have no idea what kind of power you will make..but whatever you make, I hope you're happy with it. |
