Exhaust noise with cats vs catless.

Guys I have a cam, Kooks headers , intake and Magnaflow bullets on the back. Need a little noise reduction. What is the loudness like with cats vs catless. I don't want to get kicked out of track events because of exceeding db ratings.

Hey, I'm also running Magnaflow bullets, headers and catless. I wouldn't do any different, a bit to the raspier side but that's how I like it. from the inside is not that bad, outside is a different story...can hear the car from a couple of blocks away.

Do the magnaflow bullets quiet the exhaust a good amount? What about putting dynomax bullets in middle?

Great idea but aren't they too wide?

I had the same set up, x-pipe catless with long tubes and magnaflow Magnapacks in the rear. It was a little too loud! But a resonated x pipe took care of it. Simple 2in and 2 out magnaflow, and it replaced the x pipe I had installed.

All the rasp is gone, and it has a much more refined tone.

Cam + catless + small mufflers = LOUD

My experience the longer the mufflers the better.

If we put bullet mufflers in the middle what would be the difference between longer and shorter ones?

Well I installed the BBK 2.75" mid x pipe and Kooks hi flo cats and that mad it a tad bit quiet but still loud if you get on it but not as much. It is now acceptable though.
