Feeling bummed

I took my car into the dealer today because of rattle, something on the trunk lid is rattling and even though I fixed all other vibrations in the car, I can't fix that. My friends get in the car and laugh because I have the nicest car out of all of them by far, but atleast their trunk doesn't rattle like crazy when they try to listen to music!
The lady that worked on my car was extremely nice and very smart, I didn't really feel like I was at a dealer with a run of the mill mechanic, she knew what she was doing; however, she told me she can't fix the rattle issue without taking the trunk lid apart which would take over an hour and even then she doesn't think she can fix it.
Feeling a little bummed I started thinking about trading in because I simply cannot handle that rattle with my music above 15. They looked over my car, entered it into a few websites and told me they could give me 17,500 for it, mostly because it was backed into 4 days after I bought it.
I really just feel.. bummed. I can't think of another word for it. There's nothing I can do about the issues with the car, short of spending a very large amount of money on it and if I trade it in, I lose even more. It seems immature and stupid but I'm really upset about it.
Does anyone have an idea of how to fix it, or just a fairly similar story?

What a bummer. Are you saying you just bought your car four days ago?

If the rattle is in the deck lid, find a used deck lid, get it painted and install it. I can't imagine that costing more than $500.

There was an issue with spoiler rubbing on the 10's. Check into it.
May need the washer upgrade, under the spoiler.
Heck take the spoiler off and see if it goes away.

Take the trunk lid apart yourself. You will probably find the issue and you'll feel a LOT better.

Nothing worse than hearing wholesale value for your pride and joy. Don't worry, It's worth a lot more than that!

Good luck.

are you sure it is the trunk lid? since adding a sub to my car the panels around the inside of my trunk come loose and i have to tighten the plastic nuts that hold them on. can you take a video of the rattle? can you reproduce it without the stereo on?

It seems like it's inside the trunk lid.. I've messed around with it for hours on end and can't seem to fix it.. But I think her tightening the spoiler really helped.

Haha thanks man, I think it was just an in the moment "oh god why me why'd I buy this WHY" type of thing.. I'm already feeling better about it. If the rattle bugs me again I'll take it apart but for now it's alright.

It's a spoiler nut, fell into the lid. Get a magnet on a handle and start fishing ...
