My pressures at full operating temp at idle is the first line..10? Not worried so much as at 5500 rpms its maxed out at 34psi.. Ran some data on my buddies hp tuner a few nights ago
Here my story. Bought a 418 TSP and cam and all accessories. Went ahead and paid them to put cam and all in. 300 miles of light break in driving stared tapping and pulled over had a wrecker pick me up. Got home pulled valve covers and foun cyl 2 Intake lifer failed.. Brand new LS7's.. Messed cam up on that runner. So I pulled engine to get the needle bearings and other debri out. At that point I found all 3 cam gear bolts where loose and gear had moved "this would explain lifter failure" could not find any sign of lock tight on any of the bolts. At this point I called TSP and they said send parts and they would decide if they want to replace them. Of course they said looks like the lifter caused the "3" bolts to unscrew... REALLY!?! Lol anyway they agreed to send me a new cam and upsold me some morel lifters... As if the 10 grand I've spent with them wasn't enough.. I cleaned engine out installed cam checked all the clearances and been sitting on this oil problem since. Only thing I've never checked is the pick up to pan clearance. |

I think you have some bearing issues from that failure. Did you have any pressure issues before the failure? Did you inspect the mains and cam bearings? Did you disassemble and clean the block? I know people roll the dice on failures like that and sometimes they get lucky but I'd bet you circulated junk through the the motor and that has caused your pressure issues. If I'm missing something let me know but based off what you've said so far I'd being pulling the motor and going through it completed before more damage is done.
