Your original post said you'd buy the 2107 ZL1

I will definitely keep the 5th Gen ZL1, to me it is iconic to the 69 first gen. To me the 5th gen Z does look better than the 6th gen on photos, but I will get the 6th gen in its 2nd year of production. I hope the drive train is beefed up just as the 5th gen is and the 10 speed auto should put down some very good numbers.

Have the same affliction, I am definitely keeping my 13, but I think I will wait a year or two when they have the fire sale again.

I do not think you will be able to get there due to the 1.7 liter supercharger cannot be overdriven to produce that type of rwhp according to several people that I have talked with with Z06's several of them have ditched the 1.7 charger for the procharger set up with the intake. The 1.9 liter in the Gen 5 is a very efficient awesome charger making great power when overdriven.

Have they said anywhere which blower is on this car? I wonder if they made a change?

The LT4 on the ZO6 and CTS-V have a 1.7L SC. The whine on the 17 ZL1 sounds pretty loud compared to those two; I'm thinking GM stuffed a bigger one on the ZL1, but that's wishful thinking on my part.

That's what I thought, I would think it would help with cooling also.

Just a question about the supercharger... If it were a bigger one than the ZO6 or CTS-V, wouldn't it be making more hp than both of them? Or could GM just have it de-tuned? I know it's probably a simplistic question, but what's the answer?

They can adjust the boost, in the Corvette they didn't get enough cooling because of space, the Camaro has more space.
