My dealer is easy to work with. My 2011 2SS RS has a CAI, headers w/o cats and basically straight pipes out to quads with a Livernois tune and they say they will still cover everything. I'm so confident in their word I extended my warranty. Car sounds freakin great! Loud when you want but not so much at 80 on the interstate

If it's an auto, a tune can make it way more fun to drive right off the bat.
If you are planning some modifications in the very near future, could be worth it to just wait, unless you get free retunes.

I waited until I added HF cats on my L99 to get a tune.
I can tell you this, you'll be VERY surprised at how much it "wakes up" the car.

Yes but the OP has a LS3 so just a tune won't do much for it whereas with the L99 it is a huge difference and a very worthwhile singular mod.
