Do v8 suspension fit the v6? And who knows some good suspension packages for the v6?

Yes the v8 fits. If your not going aftermarket and wanna stay GM then go straight for the 1le upgrade kit. Best bang for your buck.

That's an amazing price, but at the shopchevyparts.com link, it says this handling kit requires an SS Brake Kit! That's $5k! What am I missing???

Yup, get the Brembo's as a take off from someone elses project. I have less than $400 in my whole brembo package

I'm curious, is it a clearance problem? Is this something that can be solved without trying to track down an inexpensive take off?

The rear 1le and any other v8 sway bar will not clear the stock v6 rear brake calipers.

Ah, so if I can't find the entire kit at a reasonable price, just the rears will do? that's good to know...

Almost correct, if you have the 18" wheels they will no longer fit with the brembo brakes.

I also just upgraded to the SS master cylinder for a more firmer pedal. Not absolutely necessary but well worth it. Here are some pics of the upgrade from my car. Also make sure you get the SS front brake hoses. Mine came with the calipers and pads which I got for $425 shipped. The rotors I got off cl locally for $200 new
