The kit basically provides an engineered block that goes into a slot to limit the movement.

You can run VVT with manual trans, you need to modify your harness.

you will need to have GM flash the L99ECU with LS3 programming (they will need and LS3 car vin to do this).
the throttle and other tables are different, the car will be too sensitive on the throttle to have good drivability. the auto cars have a steep throttle curve, whereas the manual cars have a swept curve. DO NOT modify the tables in HP tuners, if you modify the throttle tables the ECU will get confused as other tables rely on the factory values. I tried it, and thought I bricked the ECU. luckily it let me put the factory table values back in. only a complete reprogram by GM will work.

when pulling ECU programming via HP tuners, if there is not an auto transmission hooked up, the software will assume it is a manual car.
the TCM is inside the transmission.
