1LE flat black hood....removal??
Hey guy's,
New 1LE owner to be(car in transit). I was reading and altough i tought the hood was painted semi gloss.... It seems its really is a wrap??? My question is, can it easily be removed and if any of you have done so, is the paint perfect under the wrap? Whats your experience? Im looking to make it a Z clone and prefer the gloss look... Or i could buy another hood at the yard if i ever come across one. Thanks!! M.

Yes you can peel the wrap off and it's body colored underneath.

There are 9 threads about the hood wrap and removal. Why not search using that little box up in the righthand corner and walla all your questions answered. That is what I did , I even read this whole forum from pre-1LE to present just to learn what is what.

The wrap was removed from my 1LE when I got it and it has body paint underneath. I like having the body paint color hood personally.

Had mine Painted two coats of Matte Black and a coat of Clear. Wax on wax off Grasshopper. $500.00 and they took off the wrap and prepped it

A razor blade and 60 grit sand paper on a grinder should get it off for you no problemo
