That goes on your overflow for the radiator right next to your air box.

I just got my Roto-Fab CAI yesterday. Very easy to install and very nice. BTW I called before I ordered and the customer service was to notch.

For the Roto-Fab guys I do have one question. In the kit came a piece of split tubing. (Not the split loom for the wiring but a short 2 inch piece of tubing with a split down one side.) The instructions make no mention of it. What is it for? I hate having left over parts.

Paul is right-it goes on the line that's right against your air box. It's actually an A/C line though. Slide it over the line right behind the service port so it rests against the air box instead of the line itself contacting the air box. We added this to the kit, then changed the instructions; however, a batch of instructions was printed from the old master copy without revision. Sorry to leave you up in the air on that one.

It's a small piece of standard 1/2" ID rubber hose slit so it slides over the A/C line just behind the service port. The purpose is to keep the air box and line from rubbing against each other. It is a new addition that wasn't in the early kits. It appears most cars have a little daylight between our air box and the line-we just decided to add it for a little "insurance".

Thanks Mike. Would you recommend installing it or not? I'm sure I have some hose somewhere in the garage.

My line was against the air box so this was a nice addition. I did install mine lower on the line as it touched there instead of up near the service port. In addition it hid the piece of tubing.

BTW for those considering this kit. It is very nice and get lots of nice cool air. After a spirited ride I came back and you could feel the temperature difference from inside the air box to outside of it. In addition I had a moth sucked onto my airfilter so it does get air from outside the engine compartment.

Thanks Mike. Got everything today and installed. The airboxes are about the same color, can't really tell a difference. I will mail the old back to you asap.

Enjoy.

Sweet! They look better on a black car than a yellow one! I was surprised the powder coat silver came so close to matching the Silver Ice Metallic. The first good comparison I've had was against your painted air box. One good thing about the automotive finish is it gives you the same high gloss and smooth finish you have on the engine covers.

Thumbs up

WOW!!! Roto-Fab , great products. LOVE the engine hats and plenum cover. AND, I usually hate engine hats on engines. VERY NICE!
Keep up the great customer service as well.
