The new CTS V makes the same power as the ZL1 and goes over 200. How much newer can it be?

Most agree that It simply looks like a "newer/modern" version of the older squared out tank of the 5th gen.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, that we could all agree on.

This is true, sorry my use of wording is/was a little extreme. The 6th Gen is not "ugly" it is "different" or not something I am used to yet; front airdam, hood lines and creases. The performance outweigh the looks of the car, IMO. Gotta respect that capabilities tho!

Sorry if I offended. I agree I needed to clarify myself and the wrong verbiage I used.

You would only be offending the GM engineers/designers lol

We are Camaro lovers here, from 1st to 6th gen.. I always get a kick out of seeing them on the roads or shows.

This seems like a much more civil discussion than the usual. Maybe progressppl really can disagree amicably. They're all Camaro's get the one that speaks to you. Or both!

Thank you for the recognition. There are others that seem to get too emotional & are quick to judge me on other threads... I have nothing but respect for everyone on here.

We can disagree & point out likes & dislikes all day long; without resorting to temper tantrums..

Been on this forum for years & owned a 5th gen as well.

I wish I'd been around to hear the discussions in 1970 1/2. I was still too young to understand in 1982.

1. Would I trade for the ZL1? most likely NO, I said from the start they got the weight reduction they wanted on the 16' but at what expense? They snubbed it down to a midsize sports car, the whole idea of the muscle game is to do what you can without sacrificing the integrity of what it stood for. now you made a car with a cavalier size backend and the size of an M4, good job, muscle I think not. Not judging dodge or ford is better but I do like that neither have sacrificed size just to claim they got lighter and faster. Ford got bigger and wider(which looks better then previous to me, others as well (sales figures)) and Dodge philosophy is keep making bigger motors which I cant hate on. Saw the 16's many times, yes its faster and lighter, but also its way smaller, snubbed down and lost its aggressive stance and rear, like it spent 15k for lipo lol.
Part 2. if your asking another question in the trade in for a ZL1 or the stingray, hands down its Stingray for me, super aggressive and badass of a car, my father has a red one( carbon accents and its nasty) no comparison in my book. Not to mention I would bet we are looking at 60-65k for the ZL1 and that is being light on the number.
Just my opinions..
also after lookin at the 16 at BJ this year here in Scottsdale with several of my family compared to my SS, we just didn't feel it was enough of an upgrade to pay so much additional for a snubbed down less aggressive looking car. Yes id like all the touch screen and electronic dash technology but loosing your butt(literally in the 16) is not worth it enough for me. A jump to a stingray is drastic and worth it for what you get in my book.
I think your POV is good. I was disappointed in GM for making the car smaller...it gets away from the 2-door sedan idea and being able to fit more than 2 people in a ride with 4 seats.

Stingray it is
