I had Nitto NT05R, they sucked. MT ET Street II I have heard good things. I cut 3 tenths between 18s and 20s. Cut another 4 tenths going to 17" slicks.

There is not a generic one fits all answer here

What type of 60' time do you cut at the track?
Go check out the drag section and see what 60' others are cutting w/18s
There is your answer

I would rate the NT05Rs a B++. Hooks better than stock, but not as good as the M/Ts.

I also have a set of the MHs in 275/50/17, I would rate them the same as the NT05Rs.

I had 555Rs in the past. I would rate them a B for traction and a A for longevity.

When I do 15's I might get two sets, 555Rs for driving around and slicks for the track.

I currently race on 17" Hoosiers. A for traction, been 1.47.

What I want to know is how much did you guys gain from going to 18" from 20" DR's when drag racing?
Drag Radials should be better than my F1 Supercars on the track.
2010SSRSM6 says about the same. Beautiful looking red car by the way.

She's IOM, but thanks! lol

Your biggest obstacle getting a good 60' with the M6 is going to be riding the clutch out just right. Factory clutch is ok at best, ACT is garbage, I'll be trying the RXT out next trip to the track.

It is hard to get consistent times without seat time. You can have the best tires made and still screw up a launch of your left foot isn't working with the right one correctly.

Auto guys have an easier time with consistency and run better times overall, so they'll able to get more out of their tires until you figure the consistency thing out.

I've got 70+ passes between stock and 20" NTO5R's (didn't have a line lock to properly heat them) and cut very similar times. My line lock is going on now so I'll be able to get good heat into the tires and have a much more realistic run on them.

If you haven't done it yet get a line lock.

I'm a m6 making 650whp running the NT05Rs 305/45r18. So far on the street they don't hook for shit. It's also been cooler in the low 60s high 50s. I'll know more when it warms up but I'm also adding 100shot so my power will be much higher.

What psi do you run them at? Are you heating them up at all?

I am just over 700 rwhp and just switched from 20" NT05R's to 20" Mickey Thompson's. The difference was night and day. I wouldn't run the NT05R on another high hp car if they were given to me for free.

Do you track the car, or are you talking about the street?

Street use only. Even with heat the Nitto's were terrible. It is like a different car with the MT's.
