It feels like I'm driving a buggy or something. The 5th gen had that beautiful classic Camaro/Chevelle cowl induction type muscle car hoodline. Little things like this bother me Just like back in the 4th gen days when you couldn't even see the hoodline from the driver's seat on the '93-'97 models. Just big ugly arse wiper blades. Ugh!
I liked the feel of the gen 6 inside. The interior is so much nicer that the hoodline never crossed my mind. As far as the gen 4 car, I never felt compelled to sit in one because they were too ugly to get that close.

Seems like a lot of new cars have a similar front lower grill as the Gen 6 , way too common. Not a terrible looking car, I still prefer the Gen 5, However I may look at a gently used Gen 6 ZL1 after they have been out for a couple of years. 640 hp with a 10 speed auto is just crazy for the street. Why bother modding when you can buy one of these.

yeah it's done for airflow which they started on the ZL1 a few years ago.
how dare they think of performance.

also the hood is contoured like the Stingray. why would they want to copy it's successful brother?

Actually, the lines & contours are almost identical.

The back end of the 6th gen might be to blame. Imo it looks ugly. Saw it in real life, still dislike it.

6th gen looks like a lukewarm, toned-down version of the agressive/muscular 5th gen body. Not enough oomph to make it stand out anymore.

GM better be careful with the 'streamlined' design or else they'll end up back in the 90's.

It may not be the newest thing, but it'll be mine, and it'll be customized for me and my tastes. I am more comfortable in a 5th Gen, I can see out of it better and frankly..I think they look better.

That and given the nastiness in the 6th Generation community..I think I enjoy the Generation 5 community more

I haven't been there, but judging from the vehicle & the target demographic, I'm guessing it's a younger crowd.
