Camaro LFX Exhaust

Does anyone know the size of the stock tubing for exhaust? I installed downpipes that are 2.5" and where its clamped makes a rattling noise

2.25" so you are 1/4" over.

I was told (I haven't messed with my downpipes yet) that the exhaust is 2.5" until the stock H-pipe where it changes to 2.25"

I like how mine sounds, but I think I'm going to get a used NPP from Calloway if they have any laying around next week.

Just to add to those mentioning the correct sizing, the exhaust is 2.5" until just after the factory H-pipe, where it changes to 2.25".

Instead of making a new thread...

For those with the Magnaflow X-pipe: has anyone considered welding some 1/2" or 1" pipes in the X-pipe to give it a similar effect to a "fuse-pulled" NPP exhaust? So run a straight pipe from the inlets to the outlets of the X-pipe, welded at either end, so that most of the exhaust goes through the X-pipe (muffled) but some goes through the straight pipe (unmuffled).

Know what I mean? Potentially louder/more aggressive sounding? Terrible idea?

I recently bought the X-pipe (#11386) and am considering getting rid of the resonators and mufflers and going 2.5" pipe all the way back; just got this random idea while watching exhaust videos.
