Anybody have any experience/insight on closing the deal? They quoted me sticker back in March. I've heard conflicting stories about whether I'll be able to use my $3k in GM card earnings, and it's making me nervous. Also, what about "doc fees" and other misc. add-ons?

My salesman has made a point of reminding me how "other dealers are getting 5-10k over sticker" so I'm well aware I have no leverage.

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!
I ordered from Jim Ellis in April. Mine is due around the 8th of Sept. Did you get a quote when you ordered? I made sure of what it was going to cost when I ordered (MSRP). I also went in very informed and confident with the help of this site. I'm not feeling the pinch from my sales person.

I don't know about the $3k, but do as much research as you can before you close. I'm hoping your sales guy is just trying to make you feel like you are getting a good deal rather than setting you up.

Knowledge is power, you have leverage. Don't get pushed around. I hope that's not the case anyway. I have had a very good experience at Jim Ellis so far.

Getting a good number of Camaro owners (and a lot of us future owners waiting on their cars to be built) in the Metro Atlanta area. I'm hoping we could have an Atlanta meet someday. I'll show up whether my car is here or not, it's just getting nice outside with the temps!

Where is Temple? Off of I-20 or near I-85/I-185?

Here is a question. What would we need for a cruise-in? It seems like we could get enough attention and interest. How big of an area? I might just consider seeing if we could sponsor one in the North GA area with fall coming up .

Thanks for the reply. I did get a verbal quote for MSRP, but hadn't gotten anything signed and was concerned that would be an issue.

I'm happy to report that all went as smooth as silk. Jim Ellis Chevrolet rocks and will get all my service business. I was able to use $3,112 in GM card earnings, and there were no gimmicky upsells or add-on charges.

I've always driven GM vehicles, and this one is far and away the finest one yet. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I'm loving mine.
