Yeah, I never learn do I?
Skinny: 1986 Camaro Sport Coupe 2.8L V6 T-5 Manual 5spd Trans 80k original miles all stock (minus radio which was AWOL?) No T-Tops $2300 neg. ![]() ![]() http://www.flickr.com/photos/camarow...7622311554774/ Car is 'immaculate' as much as a 23 year old texas car w/ 5 years in Michigan could be. One bubbling spot that could be sanded and bondo'd out, but little rust. I plan to use it as a winter beater/funmobile and trade the truck (which is worth more than I'm paying for this 'maro) for a better car down the line. This Camaro would be paid for (wot!). I'll could cruise around today and get pics but I doubt I need to show you goobers pics, do I? Basic White with black rocker trim. All emblems no peeling. Called the guy today and said that we had to reschedule the drive for Monday because he's 2nd shift and I get out of class when he starts his shift. Yoy.. So, what should I do with it? 350/T56 transplant? Turbo the 2.8? Throw a Jet into the butt?

Pics uploaded into Flikr and in the original post. She's got some bubbles and fiberglass spidering, but nothing a sanding and touch up couldn't fix. Muddy rockers too (pretty darn solid).. :/
Apparently the mudflaps were for show? |

Ah... I love those wheels...
Though, I didn't think IROC wheels came on a 2.8 .- X P.S. - I was pretty sure it should have come with these wheels:

He didn't like the Steelies. Bought some second hand Iroc wheels and put them on. I think they're from an 88 or so. Aside form some bubbling at the the nose around the reflector she didn't look too bad. Could just sand that out and touch it up.

It's getting stored and registered in Ohio since I can't store it here and we can't fit the Silverado in our garage. Pop tried it once and almost took the garage door off with the roof of the truck. The door was up. <_< |

Bump for Test drive at 1730 tonight.. Also called in insurance for it too. Don't think basic liability should be too much.
Basic liability from Progressive in OH: 224/6mos. I've dealt with them on my bike, and liked it. Total: 2,375.00 with tax. I have: 2,500.00 in bonds. Prognosis: Doable. Totally Doable. Ammended prognosis: DNR. Rotted to hell and back and ROUGH!. Seals, struts, hood struts, hatch struts.. bad. Engine looked clean, cause he cleaned it. Transmission, defines T-5 Suck. Needed new clutch, brakes, and trans bad. No Ebrake (HE WAS USING 1st GEAR AS THE BRAKE!) Hell it should have just been sold specifically as a drivable project. Never would have gotten it to Ohio without it dying on me. Should have expected as much.. going in. :/ So in the end, I'm keeping my 2500 bucks and using it and Christine as a down-payment on a new vehicle. Also, aren't manual cars supposed to have.. I dunno.. a Tach? Last edited by Zabo; 09-09-2009 at 06:14 PM. |
