This video sped up my decision to order a dash cam, it'll be here tomorrow.

I would never stay in someone's blind spot that long.

FYI, passing on the right is perfectly legal in IL.
Wow nice job dogging that bullet! Hey quick question what do you use to record your video? And how did you get the speed to show on the bottom right? That is awesome

Good song and I've learned not to hang out too long in someone's blind spot

I believe pretty much any dash cam with a GPS module can display the speed. As for the recording, the camera has a micro SD card in it. Mine records up to 12 hours or so in a loop. I also like it for when i bring my car to the dealer. I always have a nice little review of when they worked on my car and what they did with it while they had it

FYI, this video was made with a mini 0806 from ojocam.

Thanks for the camera model. I have a $20 China dash cam and it works great, but I would like the GPS feature.

Here's a link if anyone wants if, about $100 but looks like it's full featured with GPS and a 32gb card. Plus it seems to record night time very well! My cheapo dash cam doesn't do very well at night.

I also stay out of blind spots. BUT, I once passed a semi (quickly) to avoid his blind spot, and got laser tagged and ticketed for doing 71 in a 60.

OP....do you have a dash cam on all the time while you are driving? What are you using and why? I think this is more interesting to me than the idiot who can't drive.

This info is in post #49

Dashcams are on all the time when driving, and some/most have a parking mode, triggered by Motion or shock. Most have a GPS receiver built in that will overlay coordinates and speed onto the video. also log your route and can be mapped to google maps.
