2014 Z28 vs 2015 Z28

Hello,

This is my first post on this forum. I have just recently took an interest in the Z28 after seeing the price drop from the MSRP $76,150. A local dealer close to me has a 2014 Z28 new for sale. They told me the 14's and 15's are the same. Is that true? Thinking about purchasing but will take it for a test drive at the end of this week first. The miles on it are only 33.
Any feedback on the cars would be much appreciated.

2014 or 2015 Z/28

They are the same. They made less of them in 2014, so in some ways, it's more rare.

built about 440 2014's
built about 1200 2015's

with only 33 mile on it not sure your going to get a test drive, sounds like the dealer is not letting anybody drive it

If he is interested Im sure they would let him test drive it. Only costs them money to keep that car around. Well as long as they aren't a crappy dealership. My car had 45 miles on the odometer, first time I drove it. I ended up taking it out for 5 test drives before I pulled the trigger for a total of about 75 miles if I remember correctly. Needless to say best car buying experience I have ever had.

Welcome to the forum. Good luck during the test drive, you will likely be leaving with the car. Both years are the same, so find the best price you can.

I will welcome you to Z/28 ownership now because the buying of the car is just a formality at this point! :-)

Thanks for all the responses. I Meant to say that I will go for a test drive but not in the 2014, but in a 2015 Z28 that the dealer has on their lot sitting outside. I can get the 2014 for a few thousand less than the 2015.

It all comes down to which color you like better (if they are different) and if you desire the AC/radio option (unless they both have it or both don't). I know I'd pay a little extra if I had my heart set on a certain color/option combination.

Welcome in advance to the Z/28 world. I have only had mine for 14 days. Smiles for miles.

I see you currently drive a C7 Corvette. I owned a 2014 Z51 and a 2015 Z06 and by far have enjoyed visceral experience the Z/28 provides over either C7 I've owned. Less refined is the Z/28, but man do I feel connected to it.

I found a 2014 Z28 new for $50k and a found a 2015 Z28 new for $52K both with AC and in the color I want. With the dealer fees the difference between them is about $2500 for a 2015. I'll make my decision this weekend.

What will tax, title and fees be on those?

Definitely, I got my white Z28 about 2 months ago for $61k, with only 28 miles on it, and I thought it was a score, and I still do as there were no other white ones available in S FL at the time.
I also test drove the AGM version they had on the lot.
The white one was sitting pretty in the showroom

Nothing but smiles in Oklahoma, all my Tulsa Vette Sette brothers doing the corvette wave to me....
I've had mine7 weeks now, and I'm at 1054 miles. The Z06 is sitting in the garage quietly waiting for the break-in to be complete. I thought I had the best deal until Chevy did the new discounts, as I got my certified used at 318 miles for 53395 plus 1465 for an 84 month 70000 mile premium GMAC warranty.

And as all we Z/28 owner know - hot dang...Chevy built a road rocket in this car.
