L99 Cam With Turbo

Seeing if anyone is running on with their turbo? What kind of power did u make? I was told u won't get a real chop sound because of the turbo?

I would be doing the LS3 conversion.

I was going to do a cam in my car, but I have found you can make good power with a stock cam

I get a decent chop, not anything drastic, but that's all in my cam specs. I'm not an l99 but I do have turbos.

I was told it would be 1800 in parts including the LS3 conversion, DOD Delete Kit, and cam. Sound about right? Or should I just source my own parts.

Spend the extra money and get forged Pistons and rods. At least I would I think I had a grand in those parts I can't remember. In total I spent about 2800 for everything.

Honestly if you base a cam choice on sound your doing it for the wrong reasons. Optimal performance should trump cool factor especially when it comes to a vital part of your performance package.
