Yeah... Start off with a 1/2" hole or so and report back. Drilling holes went out back in the 90's!

My LS9 cammed LS3 idles at 600rpm, redline is 6,800! 4.11 gears makes slipping the clutch without gas a breeze!

I have a 2010 camaro that has diablo tune on it and I am well pleased. I had lew do a custom tune on it and that really made the difference. He can set any point you want(idle, rev limit, shift points and etc.) Hope this helps. Be ready to drop some bucks.

These new ECMs can Idle at 350 rpm if you wanted. Raise it up to 650 and see how you like it, Custom tuning is all about getting what you Like. I believe it is all about emissions. Ted.

I actually liked the idle when it was stock, 550 didn't bother me a bit. Now that I have my UDP I raised it to 675 that's the lowest I can get without getting the "conserving battery" message. To be honest I don't even notice it anymore.
On to your question though, I think it's all about fuel economy.
