What plane is that?

My Z was around southern Portland today. I parallel parked it for the first time in Oregon City.

Mine was hibernating in the Basement Garage until tonight. It made the journey to the upstairs Garage and got a sponge bath. Just in time for a week of rain in front of us.

No pictures but my Z went on a ~100 mile road trip with the wife to see some friends. Still haven't turned on the radio.

Today was a bitter sweet day w the Z. Said goodbye to an old time flame. 93 Cobra 2312 went to a new home in Texas. She was a stock original paint Cobra. The Z needed also break in miles and the Xpel Stealth wrap needed some sunshine.

The Z is also a great all around purpose car as we hauled top soil back. Breaking her in right as she crossed the 300 mile mark today. My dad is pulling out the top soil at the house.

Took the Z out to Lime Creek Road which runs along Lake Travis. Example videos, not mine, plenty of them posted up on YouTube if you want to see more.

A friend from our Detroit 5th Gen Camaro Club spent the day running his Z on the Auto City Speedway in Clio Michigan with some of the other club members, doing hot laps just for fun. Thanks to Griffin from the Boustany Film Company who was filming a documentary about Detroit Automotive.

Took my friend, who has always driven Mustangs, up I95 a ways, accelerated into the exit ramp, picked up some Gs on the ramp's turn, roared back down 95, did same on the return exit. Mind you, under the speed limit, of course.

My friend, who had been contemplating buying a Mustang, has discarded that idea after this ride. He wants a Z28 so bad, he made me get on the internet after our ride to find one . When he saw the prices for new Zs ( now mid fifties) and compared them what he would pay for a GT350 he said it was a no brainer. Z28 hands down.

So, I'm looking forward to a track day with him soon in his new Z!

Took the Z to Thompson Speedway last Thursday. Even with Bridgestone street rubber on the car turned in 1:26 vs. Corvettes, M3s, Porsches doing 1:23s wearing R compounds. Not bad at all.

Can't wait to put the Trofeos back on.

I had a buddy that used to let me fly his RV4. I think it had a 180hp in it. His was a tail dragger. Flew a lot of aerobatics in it. Fun times.

Interesting. The one I flew was small and was like a mini fighter plane. It had two tandem seats. The back seat was really tight. It was better as a single pilot. I did take my wife up in the RV4 and she liked hammer head turns. Didn't like rolls or loops too much.

Where have you flown the 10? IFR?

It was tight but I did it in one shot. Didn't hit or scrape anything. Tough in that car. I needed a haircut and saw my barber was free. When I got inside his back was out and he was done for the day. :(

Thompson is seeing its fair share of Z/28s this week, I was there Tuesday with a friend that also had his Z, and he went back again Friday. Everyone he takes out for a lap cannot believe the performance of the Z
