Post 2011 camaro LT engine misfire

So about last week my car started acting up.. I was on the highway and all of a sudden my dash lights all came on and my check engine light, then I felt a decrease in my speed my acceleration became sluggish.. I went to my mechanic, not a chevy dealers and got the codes read. I had 18 of them a lot of random misfires ex. P0300, P0301 n etc. and had a MAF sensor one also.. Meanwhile I have a aftermarket CAI system in (spectre). When my car is in idle mode it's shaking and doesn't sound good at all.. So far I replaced the MAF sensor, changed spark plugs, and the problem still exists but the codes are reading misfires from cylinder 1,3,5 so my mechanic said let change the ignition coils which I brought 3 of them and replaced them and the problem is still there.. He basically is out of answers and doesn't know what the problem is and told me go to a chevy dealers.. Meanwhile my car isn't under warranty anymore so I'm screwed on where to go next in getting it fixed I need my car asap for work n school.. Please help

I had similar issues and it was crap built up on the intake valves. A "top end clean" might help, that's what the dealer will do first.

Have timing chain assembly replaced if over 50k miles in most cases with the LLT, it is just a matter of time before you can jump timing as the chin stretches, etc.

The carbon/coking deposits are most common, but if you have more than 10-15k miles on be aware the large hard abrasive chucks loosened can and will cause engine damage. Installing a Elite E2 or E2-X system when new is the best way to prevent this from occurring. If over 15k miles, we suggest only a manual cleaning done with removal of the intake manifold and valves closed on ports your cleaning. Use crushed walnut shell media blast system or cheaper and as effective the brush method.

over 99% of ALL gasoline vehicles are now GDI, and this is an issue with EVERY automaker no matter what they claim....none have it solved, but all go to great lengths to downplay the severity.

I just got it towed to a shop and the guy is going to do a compression test and go from there, he said with less than 60k he doubt it's a mechanical engine problem. It might be something so stupid that's causing it but he said he will read the cars data and attack it from there.. He did say something bout a vacuum that might be causing the problem also but he said he will attack it and give me a call and go from there..

Definitely sounds like carbon build up. Happened to mine. Dealer had to so a complete engine flush to remove all the junk in the engine. Still pissed about it and currently fighting with GM about. They have not been much help at all, but that is another story.

Did you get your issue resolved? After about 2 weeks my car being in the shop and come to find out the cause for the misfires was a broken valve spring in one of my cylinders.. A compression test will help determine the problem and a mechanic can go from there.. I was able to get it fixed without any extra work needing to be done for about 800$

It was a broken valve spring in one of my cylinders causing all 3 on one bank to misfire I got a compression test done and the mechanic was able to go from there to find the problem after removing the valve cover
