Car damage
I looked at my car carefully today and noticed this scratch, I looked at it closer and was way worse than I thought it was. Please excuse the pictures, it was dark out. Any recommendations on as to what I should do?

not much to do.
1. you can carefully get touch up paint, blob and blend 2. you can repaint the bumper 3. you can plasti-dip that part in black to extend the grill and create a pseudo zl1 look which will hide those scratches 4. you can hide those scratches by installing a factory style splitter which would cover that area |

Maybe install a front splitter that would likely cover all of it....

I've heard great things about Dr color chips paint repair system, supposed to be easy to use and works well. Not sure how much it costs but it should be much cheaper than a body shop! Another option would be a add a front splitter but that may not be the best idea considering it would be slightly lower and more prone to be damaged.

First, figure out how & you're scraping it to prevent future damage. Then, as others have stated, you really have three options:
- Touch up paint - Repaint or plastic dip all or part of the bumper - Install a splitter to cover it up

First, you need to figure out why you're scraping it up like that. I've driven over some pretty darn steep inclines with mine, but my lower front bumper still looks mint. Is someone else driving your car too?
I would sand the scrape down and just repaint the area. It's low enough and on the bottom so that any kind of paint repair done won't be noticeable if it's not perfect. |

There's a dip on my street but I try to avoid it as much as possible but when I have to go through there I almost come to a complete stop. That dip may be the problem though. |

Putting a splitter on to cover the existing damage would make the matter worse. The add-on splitter will be even lower to the ground than the stock piece. ZL1add-ons.com has some tapered washers they call Splitter Guards that might help. There's also another company I've seen on here that makes a black plastic piece that screws on through the existing holes that covers the bottom of the stock splitter. It looks to be around 3/16" to 1/4" thick. I think it's pretty pricey though.

I've got a couple of them under my car. The only time anyone can see them is
when the car is on the lift for an oil change. I'm not going to worry about it as it's out of sight. My same damage is from pulling into parking spots with a curb.

sand with 400/600, bondo or f-glass the deep ones, sand smooth, repeat if necessary, rattle can prime and paint BC/CC. Cheap fix for something you really don't see anyway, unless the nose is really messed up.

I'm not sure about your year but the ACS T5 splitter for my 2012 1Lt leaves that portion of the nose exposed and wouldn't hide that damage. I back into every parking spot utilizing the rear camera. Takes the guesswork out of scraping the nose.
