Would think power steering fluid. Get it to your dealer ASAP.

could be any of the above...trans fluid (if you have an A6), PS fluid, or coolant. Even if it's under the front of the car, could still be trans fluid (from the trans cooler). There has been some reported cases of coolant leaks. If it's a bad leak (you shouldn't drive it), check all the fluid levels...that should tell you which is leaking.

It's either coolant...Power-steering fluid (same as trans fluid) or it's Trans fluid...check and see if any levels are low. If it's a big leak, don't drive it.

Some of the early cars had an issue where one of the pullys were cutting into one of the stearing fluid lines. Thought that was taken care of. Where the hell did the OP (1sttimeowner) go? Maybe 1st time owner explains it. Of any car? We're all just trying to help.

I had what I thought was a tranny fluid leak the 1st week I had the car. It turned out to be a defective oil cooler fitting. Oil? The stuff was red. Whatever...it don't leak anymore.

transmission fluid is oil, it has a cooler in the radiator, GM (atleast the GMT 325 platform) are known for cooler lines to leak, just not this soon

I was just out under my car and noticed transmission fluid forming on the bottom of the oil pan. There is a fairly good sized hose which screws into the block on the lower drivers side and that is where the leak appears to be originating. It is very mild and hasn't actually made it's way to the floor yet but it is definitely leaking probably an O-ring or something on the fitting who knows...I have an appointment on Monday to get it looked at. I have an L99 with about 500 miles.

Sounds exactly like my situation. It was all over my oil pan as well. They should be able to fix it for ya.

Any update?

Many are very quick to post a problem but not as fast to post any updates or resolutions. I would think that having a "pool" of red fluid under your car you have some information to share by now.

Well I too have just found the 'red pool of doom' under my Camaro...

Going to take it to the dealer this morning to have it checked out, I'll see about reporting back later on.

I've already had it back in for the cross threaded coolant hose leak I had at about 1200 miles. I'm at 2200 miles now. :( 2011 2SS/RS.
