Hud Shift light question

I have a 2014 z with manual trans and dont see the shift lights on my HUD. Is this an option on the auto's only? Or am I missing something?

you have to cycle the HUD options by pressing the button (to the right of your steering wheel, you'll see the adjustment knob/button and switch for position).

You'll want to find the display option with just MPH and your Gs, it'll start to light up around ~5k or so.

I thought it started to light up at 3000ish...that must be why I missed it.
Thanks for the info

I would assume it's the same. The weather here has been crappy for the last week. But I'm anxious to see if the lights work above 5000 RPM

Possibly your Owners Manual that may be inside the glove compartment located directly in front of the passenger seat? And yes the HUD shift indicator works on the Manual transmission ZL1 as well. Oh and by the way the weather out here is fantastic. LOL

That was my thought as well.
Didn't everyone read their manual on the night they first brought their car home?

I never did finish the section on the "Infotainment System"

ZL1 vehicles equipped with a
Head-Up Display (HUD) also have
shift timing lights across the top of
the display. As you approach a shift
point, the row of lights grow closer
together. The transmission should
be shifted before the lights come
together in the middle of the display.
If the lights begin flashing, you have
exceeded the shift point. Shift
immediately.
