They look great! Would've been my choice if they weren't back ordered until the end Sept. Would like hear your impressions of the tire after you've spent some time w/ them. Enjoy!

Regarding street tires, we used Hankook RS-3s on both 285/35/20 (my brother's 1LE) and 305/30/19 sizes. They have great street manners (no vibration or excessive noise), and they do warm up fairly quickly. They can also double for track duty, since they don't overheat like PSS tires at the track; highly recommended!

Thanks. The tires have already been special ordered by DT and are at the store ready to be installed. Just for the heck of it I cross checked the performance reviews for each tire on Tire Rack. The Kuhmos did well, but the RE-11s performed better overall. The Kuhmo's laid down slightly faster times in the slalom and lap tests, but the RE-11s were better in just about every other test, especially ride and noise comfort and stopping distance (wet and dry). Still a great tire especially at that price. Kuhmo - http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/...y.jsp?ttid=202 RE-11 - http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/...y.jsp?ttid=172

RE11... Is a great option!
Assumption based argument still going on here. Sounds as if you think everyone in here is new to tires and physics. Enjoy the long posts over nothing. Good day |

Not on my Z/28 but on my ZL1. They are pretty good on track and seems to hold up well. I had tire rack heat cycle them and they were overall good. They are somewhat noisy over 100mph as they ROAR.

What tires are you using
i ran these on my V. they're good tires and would communicate with you on the track based on sound. you'll know when you've hit their limit during a turn. i would use these on my Z. they can be a little noisy though.
i actually have a new set as a leftover if anyone is interested? they're 295/30/19. Last edited by hollywdv; 05-04-2016 at 02:24 PM. |

Interesting article about tires...http://www.tuneruniversity.com/blog/...formance-part/
I don't know enough to refute or agree with him. Just found it interesting, especially the part about tire patch and that wider isn't always better.

RE11 325's are at the top of my list at the moment. I do a lot of track days, but I find it fun sliding around.. Its no fun passing 6 people per lap anyway, I could hardly get any clean laps in..
