I need to learn/find out how to launch this car, it has lots of power but I can't get it to take off properly. I will try again next week and get more practice with the launch, I should get into the 11's if I ever take off correctly.

Recommendations are welcomed!

Pharmad: How did you launched yours? I was horrible off the line

are you still on stock tires? if so get a tire on it. thats the first thing. next see if anyone makes adj shocks (i dont know about the 2010 stuff) and walla. also remove or atleast unhook your front sway bar.

That's my only issue with the placement. With the kind of rain we get here in summer, there is no way, you can drive that care safely in Florida during rainy season. The filers should come up right behind the front head lights away from the splashes from front tiers.

On street tires my best run was 11.8 @ 122, I also trapped 123 on the PZero's....I left off idle and eased the throttle down in first gear, only going WOT at the top of 1st/bottom of 2nd. Honestly I never hit it hard enough probably...I was so scared of spinning. Tires will definitely help for sure...what did your trap speed look like? Did you try launching in 2nd gear? I tried that once and I think that would be OK too...but I didn't get a full run with that technique.

I would contact IPS Brandon on this site. They are a supplier of rearend/suspension components that will go a long way to dropping your 60' times. You have the power, just need to get it to the ground.
Very nice setup you have there.

No problem. I have similar issues, but a slightly radical solution.

Good luck ! Just a matter of time and your car will rock !!

trap speed 116.22 mph. I did 4 passes, all taking off in M mode (first gear). I should have tried 2nd gear perhaps. 2 of my passes with tc off, I was spinning a lot, so that is why I went the tc on rout. I will go back next week to see if I can get better. Thanks!

I would disagree, you have seen the pics of the kit without the shield which work great. I am in FL an I have been driving the car in heavy rain many times now, including highway driving and the car has been great.

I have to say that rain will be in your motor soon man. Bad idea for those intakes down there. Maybe if you pushed the issue with them now they will relocate them. If not you will be on your own later when something does happen.

Thanks for the advice, hope you're wrong . I do have a 2nd car and do not plan to drive it in the rain, but I may have to sometimes. Also, this kit was built just like the APS kits on the G8's, so based on some research, it does not seemed to be an issue.

It might be similar to APS, but APS did not place the filters under the car so close to the road.

Secondly, there is a lot of heat from the road that the intake will pickup. The further up you are, the less heat from road will be sucked in.

Thirdly, all the heat from engine and radiator is coming straight at the two filters while driving. This would be another reason why that position is not suitable!

In one of the offroad race cars, the company had placed a camera under the car to show what happens with the shocks while driving. But the video also showed how much stuff gets thrown around as the tires are moving around. Seeing that, it just not safe to be that far low! I hope you'll be fine.
