ZL1 A6 mode/nannies issue?
I'm on my 2nd ZL1. The 1st was an M6 transmission, no issues in regards to the following topic. I traded it in for an A6 transmission and have now cleared the 1500 mile break-in period. Having done so, I tried mashing the gas pedal to the floor to see what the car can do on several occasions, but no matter what mode I'm in and with the traction control and stability control turned off, it always seems like some sort of nannies are engaging. If I recall correctly, it got slightly better in manual shift mode, but the nannies still seemed to be there. Is this supposed to be this way? Or is something else happening? Or do I need to take it in to a dealership for warranty? If its not the nannies, is the power being regulated somehow?

Drive the car in M mode instead of D. You don't have to use the paddles and it will enhance your driving experience. In D, the car will start off in 2nd gear too which makes it feel very sluggish. You will see a sport mode S appear on the dash when you place the selector in M. Press the paddles and the display will show an M. To return to sport mode, just hold in the right paddle for a few seconds until the S reappears.

I agree with Stephen, are you spinning or getting good traction? Is this a coupe or vert? If a Coupe progressively go through the PTM modes and see if you can tell a difference. Holding the TCS/Stabiltrack button for at least 7 seconds will turn all nannies off. The other thing it could be is your tune is off. In sport mode the shift points are 500 RPM higher than in drive.
