Tires

Can theseTrofeo's be plugged or patched? Took a staple or chunk of metal to the right front. Not losing air according to the tire sensors. Thanks

I have 2 plugs in my driver tire but I'm not racing my car. It's on the tread part and not the sidewalk either.

Do you want to think about the patch when you are going 140mph on the back straight?
OR:
If your just squealing tires and daily driver, yeah, why not patch it.

Daily driving for me. I have not pulled the chunk of metal out yet. Still not losing air, so I'm hoping for the best. Thanks gang.

I'd be careful...if that chunk comes out while going 60 MPH you might regret it. I guess the question is.. is the risk worth it for $400 (new tire)? Even if it weren't a blow out, do you want to risk being stuck somewhere having a flat and calling a tow truck? Just a thought...

There is a patching process that allows you the still track tires. Turner Motorsports offered this to BMW owners. Patch is better than plug.

I am going to have it repaired on Monday. Hoping that it's not a bad puncture considering that it's not losing air. No expert though. Just hoping for the best. Thanks
