OP, I think "His Dudeness" was onto something a few pages ago. First try contacting the dealership you purchased from to see if they will do the right thing. If not, contact your local television's investigative team. Give them the full story and see what happens when a local TV station airs something like this.....I'm sure if GM would got wind of this, things might start moving.

This is B.S. If he didn't have a catch can, they would have blamed it on his aftermarket intake I guess. What a piss off. This makes me so angry. Isn't the dealership garage independent from GM anyhow? Can't they diagnose the real issue (which won't be the catch can) and then once proven to be the oil pump, get GM to step up? I would seek advice from alternate GM garages. Even if you have to pay for the tear-down out of pocket, it would be worth it. Once in writing as to what the real cause is, you have a leg to stand on and get them to cover all costs you incurred I would think.
Sure am glad my buddy's the Service Advisor at my dealership. He takes care of me like everyone should be taken care of. J
