Heads up, in case you get a Dr. Colorchip kit for your Green Flash:

Don't worry, they DO have our color. I bought a kit the other day and found that they have it listed by the engineering name, "Unripened Green", instead of "Emerald Green Metallic" that's printed on our window stickers. If not for the thread discussing build counts, I would never have known that the color originally had a different name.

I've already contacted them to let them know.

FOLLOW-UP: They've updated the site

Hi Mike,
Since our formula data base has the color name Unripened Green, we are going to leave that, but add Emerald Green on our website.
Thank you for letting us know.

Now it says "Unripened Green Metallic/Emerald Green."

Well I seem to be the newest member to the "Green Flash" club. Its great to see a thread devoted to our version. I plan on cruising through all 16 pages of comments to learn some more about this car. I just picked mine up a week ago with 24 miles on her. I am amazed someone left this car on the lot long enough to be a "left over new". My gain.

6spd, npp exhaust. I do not have the nav, short throw or 1le. But my MGW short throw will be on its way soon. I originally was purchasing a used 2012 inferno orange 2ss/rs. They had me walk over to the new car showroom because their printer was not working. Got one look at her and the rest is history. So happy to be part of a niche group. It's nice when you know you will not come across many of your exact car.

Heh heh heh. You're right. I assume you saw the build totals. I have had mine for a year and have yet to see another one while out cruising or in my travels up an down the East coast. However, in my local Camaro club, there is an exact twin to mine, and last week a guy pulled in that was just going by with a coupe like yours! So that's 3 of them in a general 25 mile radius.

to the group. There should be more owners picking these up over the next few months. About a week ago I had a phone call from the dealer that sold me my 2012 vert and wanted to know if I would be interested in trading in on the Green Flash vert they have.
It's a ex GM executive car with 8000 miles. They are asking over 50k and is optioned like Theragtopguy ' car. Told them that I traded the vert and the wife's 2013 coupe for the coupe I have now. I told him no as I only have 675 on the clock compared to 8000 miles.

I have never seen this color. I do live in a smallish city. But I have looked to see if any are for sale around me, and nothing came up. Saw a few a couple 100 miles away, selling for more money with 20k miles than I paid new. So far I have to believe it will be a good investment. O and a ton of fun to drive.

The coolest thing I like about our cars is the reaction from people when I go to shows. I end up spending the first half hour talking about the color of it and most people have no idea these are a special edition. They think it was custom painted and the wheels are aftermarket.

Me too. I never even thought people would notice. I just expected it to be, "oh, you picked a green one. Looks nice." People that don't even drive Camaros comment on it, and several people have said they thought the rims were aftermarket until they looked closer to see the Chevy logo on them.

Funny thing is, I didn't even know it was a special edition when I decided to buy it. I just wanted a 2SS while the "Black Friday" sale was going on, and this was the last new 2SS within a few hundred miles of me. I saved about 10k, so it worked out.
