Hearing nothing from GM so far, I have begun submitting the issue to local network news affiliates. I will put forward the story to several stations and hope for a bite. I have done this in the past and have succeeded in getting three different issues aired on the major network stations in the Seattle area.

Long story short, GM voids a new Camaro owners warranty after an engine failure because he has a catch can installed.

The donations are well over $400. You guys are awesome. Thanks for the support. It's nice to know people are ready, willing and able to hold GM to task for stupid warranty denials. However, there has been contact established, and while we are waiting for the response to the petition from GM, let's hold off on any more donations. Just in case we have to refund all of these, it might save some work.

Now we are starting a fund to hire an attorney (or mitigate expenses for the owner if GM ever steps up) since it's now end of day Monday and nobody has heard a peep from GM.

I think you need to read the actual reason why there is a fund account going on. It is not for a replacement motor but to retain attorney in the effort to have GM cover the motor that has had a failure unrelated to a catch can.
