I have just received word from the OP that someone from GM Executive Office has reached out to speak to him. OP will be returning the call at his earliest convenience.

Hopefully there will be some good news. In the meantime, keep signing the petition. At this point we are not sure what the deal is....

That's great... and I will add. There may not be a lot he can discuss with us and GM certainly cannot say anything here so all we can hope for is that John gets his car fixed and everyone feels comfortable with their catch can modifications.

They certainly can't change policies every time someone blasts social media, but this one resonated to a lot of folks who need to know about this very popular mod. It also seemed to be an error that we all felt needed to be looked after the OP ran into a road block. Fingers crossed.

Well, that's something. Hopefully this was a huge misunderstanding and it will be rectified. GM must certainly be aware of, and familiar with the idea of the catch can. Considering that their latest performance engines are direct injection, they should be embracing it as it may save them millions in future warranty work on those engines.

GM claims the catch can starved the engine of oil. Here's the thing though, if that catch can (which isn't very big) was full of oil it would blow by the can and back into the engine.

Agreed. Social media can be rather "pick and choosy" on what it gets angry about.

But I also agree that this is a rather significant issue considering how many people put these on their Camaro.

I know there are some higher ups involved now so at least it's being looked into and we will get a real answer.

In the meantime best wishes to John.

Exactly! I couldn't agree more. If someone blew through an engine due to a bad cam or a bad tune and tried to claim warranty coverage, we would have all laughed. This was definitely a very resonating situation.

Except that it would travel into the intake and be burned, just as it does stock. There is no crankcase oil return in this particular set up. Anyhow the chances of it starving the engine are BS unless the OP constantly drives around a few teaspoons of oil short of blowing up his motor.

Signed...and this makes me angry to be a GM employee/Chevy Service Advisor.

TAC can go **** themselves, they're idiots. Most of the "field" engineers are complete idiots too...

We all know the catch can did nothing to cause this issue....**** GM....****ing company should have been left to fail.

Sorry for the anger, this kind of crap pisses me off when the company I'm a part of screws people over like this.
