Drag racing and 1/2 mile alignment
What alignment specs are recommended for drag racing for the rear of the car?
Would you change anything for doing a 1/2 mile top speed competition? My car is set up right now with a road course alignment and is no good in the rear getting off the line when going straight. Thanks guys.

Found this (attached).
The front camber difference between 'Strip' and 'Strip with Skinnies' is probably an effort to get wide front street tires to run on as little of the tread as realistically possible, which isn't necessary with skinnies that already don't have much tread width. Your optimum camber settings will also depend on how stiff your rear springs are (really soft rear springs might even want a slight amount of positive rear camber to be set, though you probably wouldn't want that for the higher speed half mile stuff). Thanks Norm, I have Detroit Speed lowering springs in the rear that are stiffer than stock.
Can't go wrong with Pete's specs.

Running almost zero in the rear for straight line traction is generally the way to go. I run my front camber plates set to get me 8* of caster up front, with no additional camber, for straight line stability at higher speeds.
