Girlfriends first car was a 1979 Camaro that her uncle gave her when she started driving in 2002 or so (she's 30 and I'm 45). Her uncle has had a bunch and has 3 currently ('67, '68, and '10).

I had wanted a Vette like her boss had and let us use, but she's a Camaro girl at heart!

'77 Originally silver, stripped & repainted a dark metallic blue
'79 Silver
'92 RS originally Teal, stepped & repainted a medium pearl blue (my mom bought new, gave to me 8 years later to play with)
'13 2SS RS (currently own)

Unfortunately, don't have any pics of the early one's but here's one of the '92 after it was cleaned up & repainted:

I'm on my second Camaro. Had a '14 1LT and had intended to have it for years, but once I owned it, I started seeing how much more I wanted an SS. Last year during the "Black Friday" sale I traded in the 1LT for a '15 2SS/RS. I only had the '14 for a year and a half, and lost about 9k on the trade-in, but saved about 10k on the SS because of the sale. No regrets whatsoever!

Previous Camaros

Started at 18 with a 1987 Iroc-Z 305 5 speed 215 hp maroon with grey leather and t tops. Loved that car. Had a 1994 Z-28 Bright red with grey interior and t tops. Loved the sound of the LT-1 motor. Ordered a new 1999 SS that was bright red with grey interior 6 speed. The LS-1 pulled like nothing else. Did 13.7 in the quarter with that one. All those were great but my 2014 SS A6 handles the best out of all of them. The newest is also the fastest. So hard to keep it under 80 MPH while cruisin on the highway. Thank goodness for the WAZE app on my I phone.

79 rally sport red
88 iroc-z red
2000 SS z28 red
2010 2ss RS red

Funny thing is it's easier to get in the back seat of of the 79 than the 10 SS.

I like red
The saga continues...

I had a 2001 pewter z28 with that kit. Most don't like it but it can look really good if done right

I'm loving the third gen love in here!

So, I ordered my DD and now have a car that is way more fun. Got a/c, modern suspension, HUD, can go on trips, Recaro's, sunroof, etc. No regrets!
Thanks!

I've always wanted a first gen only style I've yet to own..

I later bought a 1979 Z/28 4 spd. I swapped in an LT1, solid lifter GM crate engine. That car was a blast to drive. I sold that and built a Pro Street 57 Chevy. I had that for about 10 years then sold it an bought a 1969 Camaro convertible 327 4 spd. That was given the full Pro Street treatment. I still have it Then I bought my 2012 SS. I don't have many pictures of the 74 or 79 but lot's of the 69 and the 2012.

Here's what the 69 looked like when I bought it in 1998...

And what it looks like now..

That's a beautiful car. You win lol
