The L99 has the advantage from a dig because we all know that tq converter = teh win for the launch 9 out of 10 times. On a roll, gimme a stick and I'll beat that auto senseless. LOL Seriously, SRT8 6.1L cars are slow compared to an LS3. I think it was motortrend or one of the other big rags that did a drag run of the Coyote vs LS3 Camaro vs 6.1L Challenger and the Challenger was so far back, it was sad really. The Mustang was in the lead with the Camaro right on its heels.

One of these days I shall get another LS3 Camaro with the same mods and see if I can duplicate my times/performance as my old one. And hopefully when that day comes, I can see how I fare against another fellow 5th Gen. The guy w/the horrible fitting BBK headers has a L99 with the same mods as me except having a Pat G tune. He couldn't pull me either. He wasn't geared either though so maybe that has an affect for sure. Then again, the 6L80 has a better 1st gear compared to the TR6060 anyways?

Lmao! I'm still not sold on the DI Gen V LT1 quite yet. I don't like the fact that even with a catch can installed, which is something the dumbasses @ GM HQ will try to deny warranty coverage that you also still have to get the valves cleaned from what I've been reading. That's about as dumbass a design as you can get really. I don't care how much "better" the 6th Gen probably is, the fact that routine maintenance involves pulling the intake manifold to clean deposits from the intake valves is a no go for me. I'll stick w/the tried and much simpler/proven LS3 tyvm....... LOL.

Well, in the 6th Gen defense, I would hope a cammed LS3 would pull a stock LT1 Camaro, regardless of transmission or the 200 odd lb weight difference. LOL

He was headers,tune,50 shot that night, going off the whole night how his "250 pounds off makes a better power to weight ratio." I was kind and let off at 100 or something if not I'd keep adding busses to him.
