I'm not talking about cleaning the glass causes the crack. It'd a hand palm or
elbow pressing down on the plastic cover. Any pressing down will crack this dash.
It's paper thin with no support underneath.

How difficult is it to remove the 2010 Dash and install a 2012-2015 basic Dash without HUD and Dash mount speaker?

All the interior parts should come together in the same way (I mean, it's effectively the same dash, just less a few holes in the top) so it should be a direct replacement.

As for ease of removal/reinstall? Man, I don't know. I'd think that's a huge pain in the ass. Would not attempt unless I had a really good reason

This what your Camaro looks like during a dash change.

Ussually cracking comes from body flexing. Our Camaro bodies barely flex. Could just be real cheap materials.

Cracks in the dash are from the material shrinking slightly. Sometimes there is enough material to not crack. .sometimes there isn't.

Also from the passengers airbag.

Yeah, the dashboard is "pre" cracked from the inside. It's to allow the airbag to deploy. GM made the cut too deep (and the material too thin) so what's happening is the crack is getting deeper and showing up on the dash.

Had it in my LT2 and have it in the SS as well. It’s there if I go out of my way to look at it but, not noticeable enough to let it really bother me.

Same here, it’s not real noticeable but it’s there.

How many miles are on cars with cracked dashboards?

Hope my tinted windshield/sun shade use will help reduce the chance of cracking
