From what Ive heard, the Overkill 80 MM is the best option available for TB upgrade on the LFX. That's what I went with, just waiting for it to arrive. It is a little bit more expensive than the VMAX which is a stock LFX TB that has been ported.
Id be interested to hear what people have to say about the differences as well. Obviously the Overkill is 80 MM but not positive what the VMAX (ported stock) measures in at?

Not sure if this was mentioned before. But do any of the CAI Inc. intakes fit on the overkill throttlebody without doing any major modifications?

Yes. This is the exact set up I have. Just need to inform Overkill and they will include the correct elbow. No modification needed.

[QUOTE=cubamvp;9430470]Any major difference between the two performance wise? Thanks
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatal Performance wise they are similar, VMAXX adds 5 rwhp and the 80 also adds 5 and depending on if you are tuned or ported can give up to 7 as I have seen one dyno sheet posted on the site. The 80 is 11% physically larger and has not been ported, so you can port it and increase performance of the 80 that way also. I don't know of anyone haveing ported it yet, but Will of Overkill has said it will be beneficial, just like porting the stock TB ( VMAXX) is beneficial. I never had the VMAXX,but I do have the 80, and I will be porting it in the spring. I've gotten about 1.5-2 mpg increase since installing the 80, I've nevered dynoed my car so I can't quote exact numbers, but there is noticeable improvement performance wise. It also has a much deeper sound than the stock TB. Over all I am happy with the 80MM overkill throttle body. |

No retune needed for the VMAXX or the 80, but a retune is beneficial.

I'm still crossing my fingers that one of these two TBs goes on sale soon! I'm learning towards the Overkill but will pick up the VMaxx if it has a special.
