Traded my 2SS in...tired of going in to dealer...So long all!
Well, I traded my 2SS in on a 2016 Chevy Silverado. I will probably regret it but its a great truck and the $9500 in rebates was awesome...I posted a pick in case anyone cares...
So long all...enjoy your muscle cars as I did! I wont miss going in to the dealer for a new headliner that's on back order (cuz they were cut too short at the factory...or the blemishes in the paint (that they need for 1 week to repaint the entire car)...or the recall on the oil pan and bolts (which is on backorder) I did just see my Camaro on the dealer site for $39,999...so someone else can deal with it I guess. |

Sounds like a good deal on the truck....but how much did you lose on the trade-in?...Purchase price of 2ss minus trade-in price?

I didn't lose anything (per se)...$9500 in rebates covered the upside down and nothing out of pocket.

My headliner was also short and blemishes on paint. Dealer claims they can't see blemishes.

Sorry for the bad fortune. I'm surprised the dealer sold you a 2016 since the issue with the upper control arm issues with the bad welds that they don't have a fix for yet. Nice truck though. I dig it.

I pulled the exact same stunt 2 years ago.I had a 13 2SS/RS drove it for 1 year and traded it in for a crew cab silverado loaded and then regretted that due to the issues with the truck,it really is just bad luck on my side I guess even though I've had some great chevy cars over the years, but I decided to move on and take a break from chevrolet for awhile seems to be working.I'm not gonna lie the thought of getting a new 1SS with the 1LE option crosses my mind often, but I promised the wife a trip to Europe and a convertible for her big 50th so I guess I'll have to pass for now I always say never say never.Good luck with the truck.
