Hine Sight is 20/20 and I regret my decision to ever use the first shop. I am excited as well to see how the build turns out! They had a black ZL1 up on the lift they were doing a new fuel system, cam and head work on. Brian knows his stuff as he wasn't even phased when I popped the hood on the trailer coming from the first shop in walnut.

I had something very similar happen to me but the shop closed while my car was not finished. Car had like 1500 miles on it went in for a cam, dual springs, trunion upgrade, all the supporting stuff, had them put the 1.25 lowering springs on, trailing arms, 3:70 gears, Posi mod, cradle bushings, ZL1 fuel pump ect. The mechanics got finished (except I discovered they did not pin the crank as I requested and paid for), but the tune was never fully completed, they gave me a fudged dyno sheet. I was deployed at the time and had agreed to pay by card over the phone upon completion but got told the shop was now closed and they only took cash or check...... I was pissed. Turns out the guy that ran the shop got arrested and the owner of the building pulled his lease and shut him down or something along those lines. These guys even busted a strut with an impact wrench and ****ing charged me for it on a car with 1500 miles, $600 bucks for a new strut. Like WTF?

This reminds me of my Starkweather turbo install. I had to take it to Ray and Brian from here in NorCal to get everything done right. Good dudes and Ray is a legend in the tuning world. Did u choose this disaster of a shop because they were the cheapest? Ray and Ryne in SoCal and Matt & Luke here in NorCal are the only dudes who will touch my ride.

I am really sorry you went thru the same sort of ordeal that I delta with. This really sucks that shops don't do the right thing and inform the customers. Greed comes into play and its real clap. I'm sure you learned a lot from the experience though as I have.

I ended up taking it to the shop because a referral from a good friend. The shop was newer and willing to give us a deal if we came in together at once as we agreed upon. Ray tuned my car after I had my blower installed and he did an amazing job. I should have forked up the extra cash but again Hine sight is 20/20.. Live and learn. And unfortunately I learned the hard way.

Good call on letting Ray handle it. I think we all get caught up with how cheap we can get things for and I have learned the hard way myself, but I came to find out to go with someone who knows these cars in n out and if paying extra is what it takes so be it. Best of luck with the build.

Much appreciated bud. I should have further feedback of completion time frame next week when ray returns from His trip (Tuning i believe) and I will post pictures of the finished product and a video clip of the new cam note!
