2014 SS 3.91 Gear kit (not available yet?)

Just spoke with my dealer and was told the GM Part #22813040 was only good for 2013 and older. They said they called GM Performance to confirm and were told the 2014 kit isn't available yet. I was hoping to get my gears through the dealer to maintain my 5/100 extended warranty.

Anyone with a 14-15 have their gears done by the dealer?

Did you get dealer install and dealer calibrate speedo? How about the sticker that shows you have an altered vehicle? If not you will loose your factory warranty, unless you have a great dealer. I had my dealer call support and they said the gears for 2014 and 2015 have not been CARB approved yet, that's why you can't get them. The pt # in Performance Book is 19329768.

Yeah sorry I had the wrong part number I guess. Looks like 19329768 is right and my dealer is reporting the same thing. It's not available for 14+ yet.

Wonder if GM Customer Care can shed some light on this?

so the gears are different ? I would have assumed same parts thru out run. I read on gmpp site install instructions, the recalibration is free and has a dealer charge code , also think it doesn't need to be done at the dealer or they would mention it in the details . I definitely will get the facts prior to install

I'm pretty sure you are good..
I'm putting a 2014 1LE rear diff on my 2010 SS next week. I was told it'll work.
Don't really see what difference it would be if it's the same housing?

The difference is wanting the dealership to do it, reprogram the speedo and maintain the powertrain warranty. Dealer won't do the work until GM releases the 2014 kit.

That's what I am waiting for. Tec's told my parts guy in Jan it would be 60 days. He called again in March and they told him the samething again. Waiting on gov to CARB certify

Its a paperwork issue. The gears and calibration are all the same.

Anyone know he official GM part number for the 3.91 gears for 2014 SS. I'm curious to know if it's officially available. What's the latest going rate at GM dealers?

I'm at Thornton Chevrolet in GA, and I'm being told that the gears are not available for 2014 SS. Thornton was one of the "performance" dealers recommended by Chevrolet site. I'm really hoping to upgrade my gears via dealer and retain my power train warranty. Any suggestions in ATL?

After a call to GM corporate, they spoke to the parts department at Thornton and I'm awaiting an official quote now. I guess they found the part number. I'll share more details when I get it. Thanks GM Customer Care for the assist!

Was wondering any of you that put 3.91 gears, part #19301504 in your L99. What issues if any, other than recalibration of speedometer.
