Dropping Down In Pulley Size

I'm in the process of dropping down from the stock pulley size on my SLP Supercharger to a 3.4". I currently have the NGK TR6 plugs and more than one person recently told me I should get the NGK TR7s because of the higher boost. Is this true or can I stay with the TR6s. Appreciate the feedback.

Usually people go colder with plugs as they increase their power from boost. I think you got some bad advice. But I may be wrong here too...but I don't think you want to go hotter with the plug.

Those TR6's are pretty good plugs and well recognized as a good boost plug.

Hello Chris,

A change to a 3.4 pulley will require both a fuel pump upgrade with FPCM and an injector upgrade to ID-850s.

The 52 lb injectors will not support below 3.6 pulley.

Either way I recommend the fuel pump and FPCM combo.

TR7IX are recommended with a 3.4 and down.

It also depends on the amount of boost your putting through it I would say (for most cases) a good guide to plug section is this 11lbs and under a #6 would work just fine, 12-18 #7 and so on and so forth. Now that's just a simple guide obviously each setup is different but you get the picture.
