You gave me an idea OP. After I saw your thread, I decided to do this. Thanks man. You have a lot more patience than me. That's a lot of tiny lettering to play with.

^^^^That looks awesome!^^^

What strategy did you use, to change the colour from yellow to that really nice grey?

OP Scott, I've used EmblemPros emblems before, and they are top notch, world class quality as far as I'm concerned. It's just that your custom 'lil, "Emblem Pros" 1LE emblem on the steering wheel, looks a wee bit, bent out of shape, if you catch my drift .

At first I thought, that it must be the illusion of that 5.5/10 red paint job, you gave the "1", thus single handedly just ruining that emblem, and it was.......

....but then, upon closer inspection, still looks mangled up, almost disproportionate, I can't put my finger on it...It's subtle, nothing to fret about.

Nonetheless, Was Emblem Pro's having a bad day + your painted slightly crooked red line = a few members in this thread who are : ?

The end of the E is a little off ( fixed now) but it was great other than that from emblem pros. They were just black plastic when I started. They are only .25 inch tall so it's really hard to paint something that small. Especially that red!!! I did this to hopefully get some GOOD criticism. ..which I did from a FEW!! When it's done I'll let a few know the easiest route ...if someone is wanting to do the same thing. I do have it back apart now so I'll have the finished product in the new couple of days...maybe! I also have a nova that I'm trying to finish so it's hard for me to pick just one car to work on!

If I told you guys what it is, you'd laught at me. It's actually my entire copy of the Wall Street Joural weekend edition as masking paper, some 3m blue tape to mask the edges precisely and leftover plastidip from blacking out my wife's new Traverse emblems. There you go, laugh away. The only spot on my car with plastidip, simply because there are no other options without taking the airbag off.

Another bowtie option: This is the steering wheel bowtie covered in 3M 1080 matte black vinyl wrap; same as our hoods. Done by a local graphics guy who specializes in vinyl.

Steve, I tried that twice. Because the edges of the bow tie are sunken in, hated the way it looked. Looks like yours are sitting nicely though

Still never sat the way I wanted it to.

Yep, that's it. A little heat goes a very long way with vinyl. He did the bowtie in maybe 5 minutes. It still looks perfect.

Apologies for the pic, I didn't realize it was that blurry. I leaned in the car and snapped it just after he finished it off.
