I only use a certain car wash that use cloth materials to clean the car but I know the best way is to hand wash it but I need a new paint job anyways

Yeah, my daughter was in heaven getting to ride shotgun. Funny thing is that my wife was in the car in front of me (her '94 Celica), she is usually the leadfoot, and was driving so slow! I kept mine in 3rd the whole way around the track so I could get that throaty roar for the folks on the infield.

Yeah, the car right in front of me was my wife (in her '94 Celica). There were probably 20 other cars on the track, and two pace cars...motorcycle cops too...just making sure everyone was behaving.

I would let my wife get a bit ahead of me, since I was last in line and just had the trailing pace truck behind me...then I would punch the accelerator into the turns...we were only supposed to go 65, I had 'er up to almost 90!

I did the same thing in my Saturn Sky at Bristol, supposed to not go over 60, but I was able to drop back and hit 86 a few times. That was FUN!

They limited you to 65? Seems a little restrictive to me.
Too bad you couldn't sign a waiver for 120 or so and they let the big boys go out and play a little!
Still, I would have done the same thing.. Drop back every once in awhile and have some fun

Well at Bristol it was 75 until someone in a MR2 stuffed it in the wall. And it wasn't even his car...

Well, the letter said we were to drive 60-65 MPH tops...but I think that is mostly for insurance. Of course, the letter said we would only get 2 laps, and we ended up with almost 4. I think as with many things, it just depends on who is working when you get there. If they are cool, they let you get away with a bit more. The guy in the pace truck was great, every time I dropped back, he would drop right with me, and then when I nailed it, he would struggle to catch up...when we were done, he waved at my daughter as he passed us and had a huge smile on his face!

Exactly, I'm sure the insurance would go through the roof, hence the lower speeds.
