I saw 4 out on the roads yesterday, thought it was pretty cool. I could care less if every 5th person owns a Camaro by next year, its still a sweet car. Just customize yours to be unique.

Do you think Chevy will overproduce these cars to the point that they are no longer special?
Like others have stated, this car was never intended to be limited production or a "special" car produced by GM. It is simply the next generation of an American classic and as long as people will but them in large numbers, they will produce them in large numbers.

Some of you guys are dangerously close to sounding like a lot of the GT500 guys worrying about what a high production number is going to do to the value of the car/status of having one. If you wanted either of those things, you should not have bought a Camaro (or GT500 for that matter).

I can't believe we have another thread like this.
To all the uninformed, in the old days the Camaro use to sell over 200,000. The first generation Camaro sold 220,000 a year. In 1979 282,000 Camaro's were sold. In 1984 240,000. From 1990 onwards they had 1 100,000 sold year. 1994. If the new Camaro doesn't sell well--i would guess at least 75,000 a year--then it will be cancelled, and never ever return. Especially in this high gas price, enviro-nut climate.

Anyway, the uniqueness of the car making it a head turner was an added bonus to me.
If you paid sticker you got a good deal...as far as the value of what you got, you obviously wanted some bells and whistles and were less interested in HP...

I personally am a HP whore so I would have gone 1SS plain for a few hundred more bucks. Brembos and V8 of course I prefer manual transmission which saves me some more cash.

I'm paying 34,300 for my 2ss w/ no options....

Im in Ontario ive seen a total of maybe 7 so far this year tops. The 1LT RS are not selling at all. Ive seen 2 now that have sat on the lot for 2 months now. The SS are gone within days so no surprise there.
