Was there ever a ZRS edition?

Saw a Camaro pulling into the parking lot just as I was exiting my car at the mall. As I was walking past it, I noticed that it was badged ZRS. Having never seen one but having heard of one only on this forum (but can't remember from who) I decided to wait for the owner to finishing parking and come out. Well it was a pretty blond/brunette, whatever (can't really remember) But when I engaged her in a conversation, she claimed she bought the car that way from the dealer. I think she said it was a 2013 and that they were dealer specials and most dealers only had one of them to sell to the public. Any truth to this or just BS?
Either way, she was sold, I wasn't but did not want to burst a fellow Camaro lovers bubble.

No ZRS was ever made at the factory. However, some dealers take a Camaro, add a few special features of their own and sell it as a special edition of their own. Something like this would be unique to THAT dealer and no others.

Live and let live I say, but I call bs on that story she told. You can get any custom emblem you want made, but I highly doubt any GM dealer will rebadge a product. There are performance dealers around the country, but none I know of who will basterdize an official GM nameplate. The only exception I know of is the SLP ZL575/550, officially licensed thru GM, before the ZL1 came out in 12.

Never heard of it or have ever seen one, and bought mine from a Hendricks dealer in NC.

Looks like there was a series of 25 done in 2010, but those were all through Callaway and had different badges. There was also a Silverado with that Special Edition... maybe the badge came from there?

Hendricks Motor Sport's & Callaway were going to build 25 special 25th anniversary edition 2010 Camaro SS' that were estimated to sell for around $80k. Not sure if they ever completed the builds.

Yeah, I and the PO figured as much. He said the actuals had badging under the hood and on the dash as well as noticeable performance upgrades. I'm gonna de-badge all that junk.

26 were built, numbering #00-#25, all were sold, pretty much before they were ever built. 582 hp, and lots of neat stuff, including the carbon splitter/rockers/diffuser/rear spoiler. It was a fun program.

It's simply a "dealer special addition", basically they took a 2LT/RS, and threw on the ZL1 stuff. Rims, front fascia, spoiler, ect. They have one at my dealer, I don't care much for them, but I think they're pretty cool. Confusing to the public though.
