LOL!!!!! You owe me a coffee!!! Haha!, i spilled mine laughing at that install!!!

I get your point, but no. I would no get caught havin this hanging on my ride. The christmas three is not really my style...

A nice, thick, quality car cover would certainly do the job while also at the same time protect the WHOLE car better. If you are willing to go that far to take good care of your car, why not invest in one of these instead?? As a bonus... It would also look a bit less.... Er, how should i say... Nevermind.

I have a door dent from my jerk neighbor who parks inches from my car and also some miscellaneous scratches around the car which I have no idea how they got there. :'(

You are not alone in your reaction. 99+ percent of folks would never even consider hanging that off their car. Sometimes folks ask why not use red so it blends in. And I wanted the opposite approach, color that would clash.

Do have a car cover for the Camaro. Car cover can not be put on a wet car right after driving in rain. Also, the car cover will not stop deep ding or dents from other car doors. Currently have 4 vehicles and the Camaro is the only one I care enough about to avoid door dings on it.
Amazing force when another car door flies open and lands on a body panel.

The only place I've used the ding protectors is in the parking garage at work where on occasion another car parks next to mine. Really do not care what my co-workers think about the ding protector invention (not one bit). No dings after 3 years (2nd version I've made of the device).
Although many have asked how to build one for themselves. So far have never seen another car parked with a door ding protector on it.

Trying to figure out how to fit this version in the tiny Camaro trunk

Ron

I've had bad luck with dings. Two door dings on passenger side from dates opening door and smacking my other car. Told them to go home. One foot ding on drivers side from someone dinging me. And someone backed into my rear quarter panel denting it in and the body and paint work to fix it was terrible so whole driver side looks like crap 😐
