So ive been told to get a blower before a cam to get a more specific cam for the blower? i currently run kooks LTs, RotoFab, and Brola ataks (not like the catback matters as much) i was thinking centrifugal but im looking for options. want as close to 650 as i can ass said and done (with cam and meth) but which blower would get me closest to that marl? thanks all!

This should start up another huge debate.

I would go with a ECS kit based on their advice or a whipped. The 2.9 whipped will make that power with a little less effort than a 2300. The 2300 is awesome and will make the power but it takes more effort. Meth will also make the process easier I'm sure. For 650 almost anything will get you there with what you have and what you plan to add. 650-700 up is a real strong and great driving street car when done right. I think you have a smart goal.

Brace for impact. Here come the turbo guys hahahahahahah

ECS kit.

And like Unrivaled said, be prepared for the onslaught of turbo guys because turbos will get you there easier/cheaper/more torque/more upgradeable/lower IATs/etc etc.

ADM LSA kit is another option. I'm an L99 and did not convert when I did my cam and heads. Just another option.

Unreal is right about the turbos. May be a bit more for the kit, but fewer mods needed later and lots of growth opportunities at little cost, unless you go big power...

I love the LSA kit for the money, but turbos should be included in your search. Get all the facts before you choose

Don't need to convert, or mess with the cam. You can make 650-700rwhp which is the limit of the tranny without ever taking the TB off.

I have the ecs kit, made 622rwhp on my ls3, only other mod is ARH LT headers. I'm very happy with it, just wish it had a little more blower whine and a little less blow off valve wooosh....other then that it rocks.

im having pretty bad fitment issues with the ecs kit. literally no room to put the oil cooler line on with the intercooler pipe in front of it. mines a different year so maybe they just cheaped out and didnt redesign anything. if i did it all over again, it'd be procharger just for that reason.

You guys are all the best! I'm not going turbo for the sole reason I have my longtube headers and can't take that big of a hit. I've looked in the forums and it's all different. My buddy has ecs and makes like 636 and was super pissed about it. I'm not sure why. I wouldn't mind a loud bov, but the whine would be nice too Overall power is my main concern. So if love to see what people did to achieve their numbers, head units are something that confuse me also. It would be a kit so I can get injectors and all at once. We have a ls based shop here in ma (slowhawk performance) and I've heard nothing but great things. He's a big procharger guy so I am really just weighing out my options

Sell the headers and do a muffler delete. I just went turbo and thought I was going to lose the sound of the long tubes. The car isn't as loud but still sounds great. You get to hear the turbo spools, boost hit, and then the BOV.

I can't debate the fact the turbo is better than a supercharger being I haven't had one. Headers will not be hard to sell.

Take that big of a hit? You get money back, and then make more power. Sounds like a win win.
