Meh, 1LE works for you, an SS badge on a non-SS works for them. Maybe they want to hustle someone. "Oh, your car says SS when it's clearly a V6, let's race!" ... and gone.

Maybe they have OCD and want both letters to be the same?

This is true.....badging your V6 to be a v8 is just plain stupid

You are not the only one. A few weeks ago I came across a Camaro that someone badged Z28 on it Car looks good however the badge didn't belong.

I on the other hand have been very fond of the earlier Camaro striped badge on the 3rd gens. With the new Gen 6 out now - I went ahead and added the Gen 6 Camaro badge next to RS which I felt belonged in my opinion. Wasn't sure on placement and whether it should've gone on the far left drivers side or leave it where it is. For now I'm okay with it.

Pathetic, just plain pathetic.

Im really getting a kick out the guy attempting to justify, the posers purposely misrepresenting their vehicle.

The people that think stuff is ok are likely the ones driving these cars.

I wouldn't say people are trying to justify it, I think they're simply saying that there are more important things in their life than what someone else puts on their car

Yeah, but this is a forum where debate and discussion are encouraged so topics like this are relevant. If someone feels holier than thou then maybe they should get off the forum and go save a puppy. Also, as a camaro owner I'd prefer to see people treating their cars with the respect they deserve and when they do something silly like add a z/28 badge to their ls/ss car in some small way it does a disservice to us all.

True . . . but it still begs the question of just why they're trying to make the rest of the world think they're driving something that they're not. If they think they're fooling everybody, they're only fooling themselves (and that's kind of sad).

I do agree with you and I am totally against rebadging the car with something that its not. I'd say most people who aren't very knowledgeable about the Camaro wouldn't even notice the badges at all, but us who know our cars will easily point it out and get a good chuckle

Maybe the person cannot afford what they really want, and wish they had what the badge indicates.

Saw a red SS today that had a license plate frame with "ZL1" on it.....at least it wasn't a badge but why not get the frame that says "SS", you can buy either from Amazon for less than $20 ??????
