Power issues

Wanted to know if anyone has had issues with power loss/hesitation when trying to accelerate. I recently installed a Typhoon 69 series CAI about 3 weeks ago and the MAF sensor says K20 on it so I believe that's supposed to be a strong sensor. I've just encountered issues when passing vehicles (in passing zone) where the vehicle would hesitate to give the power I request in a quick manner. Any good info would help.....

have you visually inspected your MAF? perhaps it's a bit dirty (or got dirty during the intake install).

Maybe start by disconnecting the MAF and cleaning it with some carb cleaner (or if there is anything newer/better than that) and letting it dry overnight. Then tomorrow morning reinstall and make sure everything is connected/tightened up.

No I didn't inspect it but I'll give that a try thanks, it's rainy here the next couple so it wouldn't hurt for it to be on chill/maintenance status for a bit....

Yes that is the MAF. Spray some cleaner on the left portion of it (the part that's in the intake tube), top and bottom.

Cool, if they have something like this CRC MAF cleaner get it http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/c...5110/7070079-P

If not, carb cleaner will work

Also while you're at it make sure everything is sealed and tightened up on the intake. Any air leaks could be causing performance issues as well

Completed the maf portion, just need my wife to assist with the throttle body. Can't do it manually or I'd have to reprogram the computer and yeah right I'd be clueless....
